Happy Birthday Op & MFTWSC151

Hello, hello!
Tonight I'm sharing a birthday card for my Grandpa.
Op (as we call him) had his birthday on the 23th.
We have a tradition of celebrating it
during our Thanksgiving dinner.
Luckily, he's not much of a technology kinda guy
(well except for his handheld solitaire game)
so I think I'm safe to share his card here. :)

Now you know I have a thing for MFT.
Nothing is better than sitting down with a fresh
PI image and my bag of Copics.
Especially on a cold, wet night like tonight!
Lately I've been loving MFT's die-namics as well.
They make my card making adventures
w-a-y more fun and successful.
Top all that off with a weekly card sketch and I am set!
So without further ado, here it is...
Op's birthday card and MFTWSC151.

God's blessings on your night friends! Sarah :)

LOVE YOU Reminder

Good morning ya'll!
Can you believe it's Friday again?
I'm certain the days really did get shorter with the time change.
Note to Self: Increase vitamin D supplements.

OK, now on to the topic at hand.
I'm not sure if it's because I'm a scrapbooker at heart
(or if I'm just eternally 5years old??)
but I absolutely love a cute paper project.
This Suzy Plantamura doodles stamp set is just too fun.
MFT has released three sets so far...
and yes, I own them all. :)

For this note I used the Love You sentiment
all colored up bright and cheery.
Then I simply added an encouraging scripture
and left it taped to Joseph's bathroom mirror.
My prayer was that it provided the perfect
words of encouragement before he took his ACT.
Although he never commented on it,
I'm certain he thought "WOW, my mom is so thoughtful!"
After all it is still loving taped in place
and not chunked in the garbage.
I'll take that as the teenager version of
"Thanks for my LOVE YOU Reminder, Mom.
You know exactly how to make me smile!"
;)

God's blessings on your weekend sweet friends!

Teacher's Birthday Card

Tonight I'm here to share a recent card I made.
It all started when Mrs.Parks sent home a standard sheet of construction paper
and requested the kids to make a birthday card.
Now since this year is our first time in PreK I don't know all the teachers that well.
BUT, what I did know was that sad lil' flimsy construction paper just wasn't gonna cut it.
Since Mems was out of school the next day we loaded up
on coffee & chocolate milk and got right to work.

I've had this milk carton stamp forever and thought it would make a great starting point.
Luckily I had the Laina Lamb Designs journal and school sets waiting to make their debut.
I grabbed some *real* card stock.
This gal flexes her creative muscles baby, MFT's 100lb heavyweight cardstock is the only way to go.
A few die-namics, some twine and a button later and we were set.
Not bad for a quick birthday card?!
I thought it turned out pretty cute.
Mems loved it and wasn't too proud to sign her sweet little signature ALL over the inside.
Bless us both!
I'm off to join the MFT new release party. HOLLA!!!
God's blessings,
Sarah :)

Mama Time??

Hey ya'll, welcome! I'm glad you stopped by my sweetly southern spot. :)
Those of you who know me remember the shenanigans of being At Home With The Hinsons. Then we added to that our faith filled journey to adopt Her Name Will Be Emily Margaret. Whew! All that daily drama equalled one thing, a mama in need of some recharging. That's when I found myself in my jammy tales at night praying for my littles and getting lost in my crafty creations. Life finally seems to be settling down... or maybe I'm just getting used to the pace?? Whatever the reason one thing's for sure, I love my family and I HEART Mama Time!
God's blessings friends, Sarah :)
